Word from Ford: Low Rates Will End 10/31

Gentlemen (and Ladies),

Please remember that the low rates are scheduled to end on the 31st of October. Word from Ford is that the subvented rates will go away on the 2002 models and will at least go up on the 2001 models.

Here they are again:
2001 F-Superduty
0.0% for 36 months
0.9% for 48 months
2.9% for 60 months

2002 F-Superduty
0.0% for 36 months
2.9% for 48 months
4.9% for 60 months

I have a few 2001 PSD's left (including a Bright Amber Supercab). I bet Cochise and Bobby have some or can get 'em.

2 1/2 weeks is not that long, don't wait until the last minute.

I thought Ford had 0.0% for 60 mos on all vehicles or is that just a Texas thing? Down here they advertise 0.0% for 60 months an all Ford vehicles.

Re: Word from Ford: Low Rates Will End 10/31

Local dealer told my that ford will honor the intrest rates if you order by 10-31-01. Or if the rates are better when you get your new truck 8-10 weeks later you can go with them!

Re: Word from Ford: Low Rates Will End 10/31

jeffrall -- Check the fine print; 0% APR financing for 60 months is good only on 2001 MY cars (including Mustang Cobra) and Windstars. All 2001 MY SUV's and F-Series through F550 (including Lightning) have 0%/36 months, .9%/48 months or 2.9%/60 months.

2002 MY cars (including Mustang Cobra but excluding Focus, Escort ZX2 and Thunderbird) and Windstars have 0%/36 months, .9%/48 months or 2.9%/60 months.

2002 MY SUV's, Focus, Escort ZX2 and F-Series through F550 (including Lightning) have 0%/36 months, 2.9%/48 months or 4.9%/60 months.

2002 MY Thunderbirds have no incentives.

The rates above are in effect from 9/21/2001 through 10/31/2001.

tyler thompson -- Program # 3117 (Order Protection Pilot Program) was suspended effective 10/14/2001 through 10/31/2001. As such, orders had to be placed on or before 10/13/2001 to qualify for incentive protection. Additionally, the maximum payout under this program is $3000. The pilot program is scheduled to resume 11/1/2001.

Re: Word from Ford: Low Rates Will End 10/31

OK, so what gives?? I have my truck on order since 10-3-01. So does that mean I can get the low rates? Is this an official posotion from Ford that if the truck is ORDERED before 10-13-01 that I would be able to recieve those rates? If so I guess I need to go have a talk to my dealer... Re: Word from Ford: Low Rates Will End 10/31

MikeB -- Your order should qualify under program # 3117. As such, you will receive whichever incentive package is better, the package in place on 10/3/2001 (your order date) or when you take delivery. If it turns out that the incentives were better when you ordered the unit (the most likely scenario), you will be limited to a $3000 rebate under program # 3117.

What?

I think only incentives that are active when you take delivery are available.

Does not matter what is out there when you order.

Maybe I spoke too soon. I just saw WillSD's post on another topic about "order protection program".

What are the details around this?

vortech347 -- Unfortunately, you only qualify for incentives in place at the time of delivery.

Re: Word from Ford: Low Rates Will End 10/31

I wouldn't worry too much about losing these interest rates. It's not like the economy will be revamped and healed by 10-31. I'd bet, more than likely the rates will end up being extended into November & December. If they change at all it will probably be lower. The automobile industry is struggling and the only way people will purchase big ticket items is with outstanding incentives.
Take care

Re: Word from Ford: Low Rates Will End 10/31

Ford has been taking big time heat from major stockholders....not to mention the hordes of investment analysts who follow the automotive industry. Don't be surprised if Ford stops the interest incentives on 31 October and starts laying off employees in a move to shore up their financial.

Re: Word from Ford: Low Rates Will End 10/31

Got a question. I bought my 01 F250 at the beginning of September. Since they changed the rates only 3 weeks after I bought my truck can I get the new rates. I would gladly give back the 1k rebate to get .9 for 60 months.

Re: Word from Ford: Low Rates Will End 10/31

General Motors announced late Wednesday (10/17/2001) that they were extending their programs through 11/18/2001. As of 10:00 AM CDT, Ford had not announced whether they were following GM's lead.
