Re: x plan pricing?

X Plan is generally right at or just below invoice. Maybe a couple hundred bucks. No reason they wouldn't do X plan unless they need ot order it differently.

Your deal sounds pretty good as it is. I would guess within $500 of invoice?

Actually i'm not sure what i'm paying as compared to invoice. Today was the first time i looked at my build sheet. I actually wanted heated seats too and its not in here. Can they add that to an order. They don't even have a build date for me yet.

Ok, newbie question here....

What is x-plan pricing and how do you get it?

Thanks,

Re: x plan pricing?

X-plan is Ford supplier pricing. X-plan is A-plan (Ford employee pricing) +4%.

You have to have a commercial connection to Ford to get it. My company buys a lot of Ford fleet vehicles, so I get it.

The X-plan price is about invoice or a little lower, plus the dealer is not allowed to add any dealer packs such as documentation fees.

There are two ways to get it. One is to work for a Ford "Partner" company or belong to a Ford Partner organization. Ford Partner companies are companies that supply stuff to Ford, such as paint, rear axles, windshields, whatever. Ford Partner organizations don't make sense, but they include the Experimental Aircraft Assn (EAA) and one of the horse owners assn, and several others.

The other way is to get to know anybody who works directly for Ford Motor Company. Not a dealer or dealership employee, but a Ford employee. Such as the folks who work in the Ford assembly plants. Ford employees can give out several X-Plan PINs per year to their "Friends and Neighbors". If you don't know any of those folks, it's time you got to know at least one of them. One way is to go to a bar near a Ford assembly plant about shift-change time. Buy a round or two of brew for the worker-bees who are in there, and you'll probably become a "Friend" of at least one of them.

Re: x plan pricing?

I got Xplan from a "friend" of the salesperson whom I have never met.
If the salesperson is really good, he will have many friends/pins for his customers.

X=Plan should be only +/-$395 less. If I did the math right, you are about as good as it gets. Yes, you can get X plan on an order--I did it today on an F350. The gas cost is what is charged for the "free" tank at delivery--the FDAF is Ford Dealer Advertising Fund.
