xlt power pkg, max front , sway bars

Dose any one know if the xlt power pkg ( power seat, tt mirror power, key less,) is aviliable on a 4x4 supercab dually and how much it is.
Do the 4x4 duallys have a rear sway bar.

Does the max front pkg sit higher than the heavy service on a diesel. What spring do you get with the max front?

There is no such thing as a pkg with those items in it, but all 3 are available on any XLT. Invoice prices are:

$247 power driver's seat
$85 tt mirror power
$144 remote keyless entry
------
$476 total for XLT Power Package

Yes.

No. With max. front GAWR on a PSD 4x4, the heaviest front springs you would get would be 5,200 pounds. Because 5,200 pounds is the max front GAWR. But with the heavy service springs, you might get 5,600 pound front springs.

Dealers aren't told much about the max. front GAWR pkg, except that you need special advance permission from Ford to order it. Normally it won't change the front springs on a PSD, because you already get the max front GAWR on a PSD. The max front GAWR on a 4x4 is 5,200 pounds.

The heavy service suspension package on a 4x4 will probably get you a higher front axle spring weight rating than the max. front GAWR. If the 5,200 pound front springs would be standard on your PSD, then the heavy service suspension pkg will change those front springs to 5,600 pounds. That won't change the front GAWR of 5,200 pounds.

Notice I used the word "probably" several times above. That's because as far as I can tell, nothing is written in concrete when it comes to Ford springs on PSDs.

If you want the highest rated springs Ford sells, then order a regular-cab 4x4 with the snowplow package. That will get you the 6,000-pound front springs.

If you get the commercial vehicles brochure for 2001 go to page 19 under the heading Equipment groups there is a pkg called xlt power pkg. Middle of page near bottom. The brochure has a picture of a glove on it.

Heavy Service will get you 5200lb "V" springs. At least it did on mine.

I see it in the brochure, but it's not in the dealer's price guide or order guide, so the only way to get it is to order all 3 pieces. So, in effect, the only place it exists is in that brochure,

Re: xlt power pkg, max front , sway bars

I have the Max front springs and the front end height is higher then most I've seen. I also have 15,000 miles, so there has already been plenty time for them to sag. I'm am very glad I went with the Max. front package. You don't need special permission from ford unless it's a 2WD truck.
