our agreement for XPlan with Ford comes from the fact that they sell us stuff and we sell them stuff.
Went to pick up my son's pickup last week and learned that this form of plan is now only good for children LIVING UNDER OUR ROOF and you still have to co-sign and stay on the deal 6 months.
Might want to check with yo friendly dealer before you run all the way off the pier.
Fortunately my dealer dealt same terms outside XPlan

Co-sign????? Don't really understand your post. You have access to get X-plans but you cannot give a plan pin# to your son unless he lives with you and then only if you are a co-signer on the loan? Huh?

Instead of using your X-Plan qualification through your company, you should have let him get his own X-Plan PIN direct from any Ford employee or retiree. Then Dad wouldn't be involved, and he would still have the same X-Plan benefits.
Your way - getting the X-Plan price without a PIN - cost your dealer several hundred dollars. That's a shame.

Sorry, but unless you're trying to violate the X-Plan rules, a X-Plan PIN can not be used to purchase a vehicle for a non-eligible member. Since his son doesn't live under the same roof as the Plan participant, he is not eligible, per the rules.
Unless his son has an X-Plan with his own employer or lives at the same residence as dad who has an X-Plan, he is not eligible under the rules of the Plan.
If the son bootlegs a PIN, he's going to find himself in trouble. Because per the rules of the Plan, a driver's license and the last four digits of social security number are used to verify eligibility, identification, and residence with regard to the eligible Plan participant.
Also, it is a direct violation of the program rules to provide PINs to customers referred to the sponsor by a dealership employee or to use a dealership employee as a broker to locate X-Plan customers.
The OP is correct. He can not extend his X-Plan to anyone who is not a resident of his household, even if that person is his son. Even dad, as the primary X-Plan member, has to show a recent pay stub, company I.D., W-2, or employer healthcare card to verify that he is an eligible Plan participant.
Only active employees (salaried, hourly and contract), retirees, members and their spouses in the U.S. are eligible. Residents of the same household of eligible partner company employees are also eligible.
Furthermore, the primary user of the vehicle must be the X-Plan eligible member. The vehicle must be retained in the customer's possession and registered by them for at least six months from the date of purchase or lease. Non-Eligible family members may appear as co-signers of the loan and may also appear on the vehicle title or registration.

It doesn't matter. The buyer paid the same price. Apparently the dealer didn't need the X-Plan kick-back that bad, and he was willing to make the sale for the same price.

I'm an X-Plan member with access to the Plan rules, PIN's, Partner Codes, and everything else. Here's the eligibility rules directly from Ford, along with some other rules. This is just a portion of the rules. I didn't see anything that said "ANY Ford employee can give ANYONE they want an X-plan PIN to use".
The most recent X-Plan changes are in <font color="red">red</font>. I've highlighted a few pertinent things in <font color="blue">blue.</font>
"X Plan Eligibility
Who's Eligible?
Employees (full-time, part-time and contract)/ retirees of eligible partner companies and their spouses are allowed to generate up to two (2) PINs per year. Each PIN may be used towards the purchase of a new vehicle under the Plan within 12 months of the date of PIN generation.
<font color="red">Residents in the same household of the eligible employee/retiree also qualify for the Partner Recognition Program. Driver's licenses' will be required for proof of residence.</font>
The following criteria identify the minimum requirements for a partner company's eligibility. Actual participation in the Plan is at the sole discretion of Ford Motor Company and is contingent on the partner company's continued relationship with Ford Motor Company, and will stay in effect until terminated by either party upon thirty (30) days prior written notice provided to the other party. Ford Motor Company may terminate this program upon thirty (30) days notice at its sole discretion.
·Tier 1 Suppliers
·Business partners providing strategic services on behalf of the Company and having a minimum of 50 employees
·Fleet partners as recommended by the Fleet Dept. National Account Manager
·Selected colleges and universities where Ford Motor Company recruits.
·Organizations with a special relationship to Ford.
o Experimental Aviation Association (1 year minimum membership required)
o Disabled American Veterans
o Society of Hispanic MBAs
Appropriate X-Plan Use
<font color="blue">Eligible Plan participants</font> will be required to provide proof of identification when they visit their local dealership.
<font color="blue">It is a direct violation of the program rules to provide PINs to customers referred to the sponsor by a dealership employee or to use a dealership employee as a broker to locate X-Plan customers.</font> <font color="red">In other words, you may not use a dealership or dealership employee to find customers and you may not sell PINs to a dealership or dealership employee. In fact, selling PINs to anyone is a violation of Plan rules and is strictly prohibited. Violations of these rules will result in suspension of X-Plan eligibility for the individual and partner company and may result in further penalties as deemed appropriate by the Company.</font>
The following items are considered appropriate proof of identity:
·For employees of eligible partner companies, you must provide a recent pay stub, company I.D.,W-2, <font color="red">healthcare card. All are acceptable items to verify employment. (note: business cards will not be accepted as proof of employment).</font> <font color="blue">The dealership must list the company or organization's name on the New Vehicle Purchase Plan/Lease Option Customer/Dealer Agreement and Pricing Sheet.</font>
·For members of the Experimental Aviation Association only, membership cards must be used for proof of membership and should indicate 1 yr. minimum membership.
·For members of the Disabled American Veterans Association only, membership cards must be used for proof of membership.
·For members of the Society of Hispanic MBAs only, membership cards must be used for proof of membership.
Are there any special conditions?
New Vehicle Purchase Plan (X Plan) transactions are subject to the following conditions:
<font color="red">·Vehicles must be registered or titled to the Partner Recognition participant for the X Plan as identified under the section "X Plan Eligibility". Non-Eligible members may appear as co-signers or co-makers of the loan or other financing agreement and may also appear on the vehicle title or registration.</font> <font color="blue">However, the primary user of the vehicle must be the X-Plan eligible member.</font>
·Vehicles also may be registered in the name of a participant's trust provided that the participant's name is included in the name of the trust, i.e. "John Smith Trust".
<font color="red">·Vehicles can be registered or titled in the name of a business. Vehicles can be purchased or leased for commercial use. PINs must be generated using the last 4 digits of the company's federal tax identification number and obtained through the AXZD Call Center. Do not use the website to generate a PIN for a business.</font>
·Vehicles purchased or leased by spouses count against the two vehicles employees or retirees may purchase or lease during any calendar year.
·Vehicles leased under the Red Carpet Lease Option will be titled in the name of Ford Credit or as directed by Ford Credit, but must conform to the above registration requirements.
·Vehicles must be retained in the customer's possession and registered as provided above for at least six months from the date of purchase or lease.
·The solicitation or acceptance of money, items of value or discounts off the New Vehicle Purchase Plan price <font color="red">not</font> defined in this document from a dealership or anyone connected with or acting on behalf of the dealership in connection with the purchase or lease of a vehicle under the New Vehicle Purchase Plan, is contrary to the Plan's provisions and to Company policy and is prohibited.
·Customers must do business with dealership employees at the dealership and may not use brokers.
·If after ordering a vehicle under the terms of the New Vehicle Purchase Plan, the customer cannot take delivery from the designated dealership, the customer must promptly advise the proper dealership representative, and the customer must refrain from signing any dealership document indicating acceptance or delivery of the vehicle.
NOTE: In those instances where the Company determines that no legitimate reason exists for refusing delivery, the customer will be held responsible as outlined under "What if a Customer Ignores the Conditions?"
·Purchase Plan participants are required to arbitrate warranty-related disputes via the Dispute Resolution Program before initiating or proceeding with legal action.
The Dispute Resolution Program (DRP) process is a cost-free program available to owners or lessees of qualifying Ford Motor Company vehicles. The program is independently owned administered by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Service or product performance complaints involving Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln cars, vans, sport utilities and light trucks, which are within the terms of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, are eligible for DRP review. The Warranty Guide provided with all new Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles at delivery contains important information about customer assistance and the Dispute Resolution Program. For more information about the program, call the BBB Auto Line at 1-800-428-3718, or the Ford Customer Relationship Center at 1-800-392-3673.
Failure to seek resolution of warranty-related disputes via the DRP process before initiating legal action may result in the suspension of Purchase Plan privileges (as noted under "What if a Customer Ignores the Conditions?").

2. Who is eligible?
Active employees (salaried, hourly and contract), retirees, members and their spouses who reside within the U.S. <font color="blue">You will be required to show proof of employment or membership by an organization or company eligible for Partner Recognition benefits at the time you take delivery of your vehicle.</font> See our X Plan Eligibility section for details. <font color="red">Residents of the same household</font> of eligible partner company employees are also eligible. <font color="red">Driver's licenses' will be required for proof of residence for the</font> Partner Company employee and household member.

17. Can I obtain a vehicle for my business or for another person?
<font color="red">Yes. You may extend your Partner Recognition privileges to your spouse or any member of your household (requires driver's license verification). Additionally, you may purchase the vehicle in the name of a business owned by you, your spouse or household member.</font>"
Those are the rules for "Partner Companies" Ford employees however can give an X plan PIN to anyone. Our A Plan rules are the same however as your x plan rules. But we do not however fall under those same rules for the X plan. Thats why they encourage us to give x plan PIN numbers out. It's called the Friends and Family Plan.

Ford "employee" being someone that works DIRECTLY for Ford, not a dealer, distributer or parts supplier. Ford employees are given two A-plan PINs (for family member use only) as well many X-plan PINs that they are free (and are encouraged) to give out to ANYONE they please that wants to buy a Ford product.

I just realized I may be in trouble too. I genered a PIN for my father through my company and his truck is supposed to be here this week. If I am understanding this correctly it will not work for him? Should I post a request. Should I move back in with him?
According to the rules for the X-plan, you can't utilize a PIN on a truck ordered without a PIN in the first place...furthermore, you can't get a PIN if you first visit a dealership and get quotes before asking for/getting a PIN. Now whether these are hard & fast rules is completely up to FoMoCo.
We ordered it with a PIN but the dealer did not look at it or ask whos it was. He said just bring it back when the truck comes in. So I if my dad got his own PIN then I dont think it would be a problem as the assumption was he would have one
