Reprogramming the Gas Gauge

I have a 2012 6.7L diesel and purchased an in bed auxiliary gas tank.I know its possible to reprogram the fuel gauge for greater capacity but does anyone know if it can be reprogrammed for 102.5 gallons? (the factory tank with 37.5 gallons + the auxiliary tank with 65 gallons) Thank you!

I don't think reprogramming will be helpful on that setup. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the in-bed tanks transfer to the factory tank and there is no gauge movement until the auxiliary tank is empty. That and I think the options for the fuel tank size was limited to 65 gallons. Those options were discussed here.

I previously read that. It was mentioned in that post;
"FUEL TANK SIZE was one of the options. 65gal was the biggest he could go to. If I remember correctly, the options were 26, 28, 36.5, 40, 45, 50, 65."
Wasn't sure if anything changed since then. I can set the tank up to gravity feed but if I can't reprogram the fuel gauge I'd lose the benefit of it. The other option is to put a pump on the auxiliery tank and just fill the main tank whenever it gets low using one of the uplifter switches. I'll go that route. Thanks!

I know this won't really help you , but my approach to the same problem
was I had a TRANSFER FLOW 95 GAL AUX. FUEL TANK installed in my bed . It came with and was installed with a TRAX II FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM . A liquid crystal display was installed on my dash that shows how much fuel is in my stock 40 GAL TANK AND FUEL LEVEL IN THE AUXILLARY , PLUS TOTAL GALS OF FUEL ON BOARD . Just google TRANSFER-FLOW INC. They are in California . I bought it thru MATECO TRUCKING off I-45 in HOUSTON and they also installed it . That was in 2008 and I've never had a bit of trouble with it or the one I had in the truck before I bought my F-450 .

This is my setup and it works well. I have two gauges, one for the factory tank, and the other for the auxillary tank. When the factory tank gets to 1/4 or so, I flip the upfitter switch, and watch my factory tank go up.

I have a auxilary/transfer tank with a 15 gpm pump use for filling tractor & truck etc. I've been thinking of doing a gravity feed setup with a 12v solenoid valve. Wait till its about 1/2 to 1/4 full flip the switch and let it slowly fill back up. Is there anyone with a setup like this?
