Decided to white out the frontend of the 450 and painted the grille flat gun metal grey. The emblems on the 11 and up come completly apart. What do you guys think.

Looks great! I agree, I very much dislike the chrome ... it looks like silver-washed plastic, not heavy metal chrome. I am considering applying Line-X to all of the chrome on mine.
Details MPD56! I've never gotten around to buying the 'primered' surround but I actually think I like the black insert even better. Course it works with the white so I'd have to go with my gun metal grey or whatever body color. Nice job.
Looks awesome. I'm not a big fan of all the chrome upfront. What kind of paint did you use? After seeing yours I would considering painting mine, but I'm a little concerned about longevity / durability....

I have a two-tone blue and grey lariat that is awaiting a similar treatment. I already purchased the grille surround, and is going to be painted the Dark Blue Pearl Metallic. I may leave the 2 center bars chrome, still undecided.
The front and rear bumpers are going to get painted Sterling Grey Metallic, to match the lower and fender flares. Although the project is somewhat at a standstill trying to locate painted front and rear bumpers. Everything out there seems to be damaged, expensive, and costly to ship.

Here are some before pics and a few of my last one. I am changing up the 450 logos on the side and just put some amp steps on last week as well. I ended up trading a guy grilles out of a KR and ended up buying his painted bumpers because he went to fusion bumpers on his. Just trying to get everything ready before I lift it. I have the chrome bumpers for sale if anyone is interested. I was also kind of skeptic on the front emblem too but in person it's pretty trick I can always go back to the blue very easy.

Kind of an albino look with the white Ford oval. I like the chrome better. But you sure did a nice job, though. Good work to customize it how you like it!
