If you search the 2011-2016 forums on here or other sites, you can find the lock many use. Might can goggle it also.

I didn't do the lock, that is why I am suggesting you search. I use a locking fuel cap from Stant. 10510D

I've Googled all I can for a locking filler door and find only for F150. Maybe the locking fuel cap would be better anyway. Thank you for the Stant suggestion.

Hey, thanks. I appreciate it.

However, already had contacted them and they don't have a Super Duty locking filler door - only for F150.

With the level of customer concern about this I am amazed the Ford has not put a fuel door latch/lock with a remote fuel door button in the cab on Super Duty trucks like they do with most of their product line.
manowell and Phillippeterson like this.

What Fords have a locking door with button?? My wife drives an Edge Sport, son has an F150, mom has an Expedition. None of these have locks. They all have cap free designs as well. We had a Focus we used as a motorhome toad for a couple of years. It did not lock and was cap free. I rent cars every week and have never had a Ford with remote fuel door button. Had a Fusion last week…no lock and capless…just push on the door it opens right up.

Years ago...in the 80's....cars like the escort and lynx along with Taurus and others came with locking fuel doors. Some were cable operated like the Taurus and others had a solenoid that required pressing a button on dash or glove box.

I know they used to…Just have not seen one lately as comment previous to mine seemed to indicate.

My 2016 Fusion Hybrid has one. So after reading your post I walked around the shop and everything else here has either a pull lip or you simply push on the fuel door and it springs open. The remote lock fuel doors used to be m ore common. None the less implementing that into the Super Duty fuel door would still provide an effective lock.

I wish mine had a locking door. They are very common on the Asian cars I rent. I am in a Fusion again this week. It's not a hybrid and it does not have a locking fuel door. Just a push door.

I have a locking fuel cap on my truck. I think this is a beneficial or maybe more so than a locking fuel door. The Stant fuel cap is $15 or less on eBay with free shipping. 10510D is the part number.
