Sirus Satellite Radio "RIP-OFF"

All new Super Dutys get free 6 months of Sirus Satellite Radio
I past experiences with dealing with Sirus Satellite Radio has been a nightmare and canceling the service is almost impossible, and the price of their service is never the same price that someone else is getting.
Never give them your credit card number, that gives them a free pass to bill you any amount they want. In the past when I signed up for 3 months of service we agreed on a price of $44 for 3 months, but they billed my credit card $160 for one year, then when I called them and informed them I did not want the 1 year service, but keep billing me for the 3 months service for $44, they later billed me $62 for that 3 months, after I canceled that, they later gave me a deal for $15 a month, so I agreed to that, but they billed my credit card $85.
The ONLY way to cancel my service was to cancel out my credit card, I will NEVER deal with them again.
I refuse to deal with anybody thats dishonest, just a warning to anybody, if you want their service, don't pay for it with your credit card, and if you want to ever cancel it, you'll be on hold for 3 hours then you;ll recieve a message to call back tomorrow.

I had the same experiance with XM. I 2nd never give these people your credit card number and if they bill you wrong you will never get your money back. And then they will have someone call you from a collection dept all times of day and night with all kinds of threats. They cut my service when I still had a full year left and never could get a credit or service for the money. I wish they would go bankrupt and a respected company took them over.

been with both of them for years and have never had an issue and the customer service has always been great. Actually got a few free months from them when I call and ask. Sorry to see some are having issues. I do take it back. When they merged and offered the best of packages I disconnected sirius in my truck and stayed with xm as I had them both but my pioneer nav was set up for xm so i got all the nice features. during that time they would call wanting to resign me up but after a couple nice chats with them explaning my set up they understood and quit calling. Other than that no issues.

I do NOT want the service after my 6 month free subscription runs out. Do I need to do anything to make sure I don't get billed for anything? My truck is due to arrive in a couple weeks. Is there something to watch out for when I sign for the truck?

You will have to call Sirius to activate your 6 month subscription, they did not ask me for any payment info when I activated mine. I decided to renew when they called me near the end of my 6 month subscription. I renewed for 1 yr and they gave me 6 months free.

If you aren't interested in Sirius, why are you paying for the sat radio in the 1st place?

I have all 3 of my phones registered with "The Do Not Call List" and Sirius XM was calling me almost 24 hours a day, I asked them to stop calling me, and informed them I am on the "Do Not Call List", after they threatened me and called me names Sirius said: "The do not call list does not apply cause I am already a customer and its legal for them to call their customers" I informed them I "WAS" a customer and not anymore and I am going to report them to the Do Not Call List just to see what happens, and to my amazement the Do Not Call List infomed me they have filed a complaint against them and fined them for violating the do not call list.
The calls stopped.
Its very easy to do to register with the do not call list and I suggest you do it cause Sirius will be calling and calling you.
I have complained to Ford Corporate about the sleazy sales tactics that Sirius uses and I believe they harm or will harm Ford's reputation, but I never got any reponce from Ford.
also, if you read "The Rip Off Report" thats online you will find many complaints about Siruis XM Radio
I have also reported them to the BBB and with the State Attorney General

I would LOVE to have the service, I love listening to it, I have no complaints about that, but when they rip me off and continue to rip me off over and over again after I called and thinking it was corrected I don't want to deal with them.
If you guys want that service pay for it in advance with a check and never give them your credit card number or phone number.
