6.7 in a SUV ?

I appoligize if this has been discussed.. I am very excited for this motor to come out and I am sure Ford did it right, to make up for all the 6.0 /6.4 Navistar bad publicity....

I am curious if anyone knows if Ford will put the 6.7 in a Expedition or come back out with the Excersion ? or maybe a smaller diesel in the Expedition...

I don't really know but if these turn out to be good engines I wouldn't be surprized to see them in vans and motorhomes, not sure about suvs.

Several years ago, when the Excursion PSD was still on sale but its death was being planned, Ford designed the stretch Expedition to include a diesel engine option. We now have the Expedition EL (extra-long), but no diesel option (yet).

I don't expect one soon, but I think you'll see a diesel-powered SUV from Ford within a coupla years - especially if the influx of European diesels are as successfull as I expect they will be.

From your lips to Ford's ears....

I miss my PSD Excrursion... Problem with the European diesel vehicles is that they are only bringing the top of the line models over here, save for the Jetta - which BTW is the most expensive model Jetta, because there are no diesel incentives. Where's my Focus, Fiesta, Edge Diesel? How about a hopped up Diesel Taurus?

Diesel won't catch on until there are some lower cost alternatives. Once the masses can afford them, the demand will be there. IMHO, there is an effort to keep diesel out of the USA...
