I just wanted to let everyone know I received my new 2017 F-350 Lariat. It rides so nice and Scott Pratt set up the display to put the DEF for a guage and the DEF shut off on the dash.
The new rear inner fender liners are super thin compared to the 2016 and the Mud flaps I don't like the retainer clip on the rear that is metal against the paint. I think its going to show some wear.
The ride is night and day different and its super quite.
lol Here is the picture they made sure it was clean and the window sticker was in the truck till I took delivery. The dealership has lots in stock. It does look more narrow in the rear end to the 2016 models.
The ride is better. I did notice with the FX4 package the convertor is protected from the skid plate.
Very nice. Same color as mine (but I bet it's called something different now). I'm still not too sure about the F-250 badge. But I'm sure like all the changes throughout the years, it'll grow on people.
The color on our trucks is sterling gray and unless they changed it again for 2017 the new color is magnetic. Very close but just slightly different shade.
Placing my order today. I went over options with a dealer on Saturday and drove a couple of different trucks around. Everything I'm seeing on these lots has a 6'bed and I'm an 8' bed kind of guy. They ride different. The 2 I drove had 6' beds so they bounce a little more.
I never thought I would say it but my 08 F350 felt lower to the ground than a stock truck when I got back in it to leave. My 08 isn't lifted or anything, but still, it sits really high for a stock truck. But after spending so much time in a 17 it was noticeably lower.
Even the F250's they had on the lot sat higher than my F350. Maybe Ford did that to make it harder for GM guys to lift their toolboxes up to the bedrails so they learn the right way to put a toolbox in a truck.
One thing I didn't like, is you can't get certain things without buying some expensive package. So my truck will not have adaptive steering or cruise, and it won't have the panoramic sunroof.
I also didn't want all 6 cameras but I wanted the one in the 3rd brakelight. Can't do that though, so I'm only getting the tailgate camera.
Hopefully Ford did get this truck right, I'm dropping $62k on this thing, hopefully we don't find out that these trucks have some kind of a major issue that is common. The 6.7 has been out for long enough now that I feel I can trust it.
Beautiful truck though.
Congratulations on the new truck! Well, if the 2017 rear fender liners are thin versus a 2016, they are extra heavy duty compared to those on a 2015 which were so thin they were invisible. I installed aftermarket Husky liners on mine because there were none from the factory despite me buying a Platinum. It looks like a great truck with the only negative I see is that Ford is still using Michelin tires.
Great looking truck. Does yours have the 28.7 gcwr rating? I'm also curious about your door tag listing of the gvwr of the just the truck.
