STOP SAFELY NOW!

Well guys, my 2011 250 with 19k is sitting on the side of the highway waiting for the tow truck. I got the above msg at 70mph right before my truck decided to shut down. My service guy said it sounds like one of the emissions sensors faulted or something. I'm not too happy right now.

Did you have the 11B33, NOX sensor update? Man, what a bummer.

Aaack...especially since it looks just like mine (minus the 4X4)!

Please let us know what you find out.

They are going to hook up the computer to it sometime today. I did some research on this last night and this morning. More than likely it's a EGT sensor. There has been a good number of ppl with this problem and I don't see why ford has not considered a recall on these sensors yet.

Come to find out, a failed $80 EGT sensor can bring a $60k truck to a stop quick, fast, in a hurry.

Wow. Well at least it was an easy find and fix. I'm at about 13,000 now. I'm wondering if I should be on the lookout....

They wouldn't let me keep the old sensor. They said they have been sending them to ford, so maybe we'll see a recall before too long.

All warranty replaced parts get sent to Ford. They don't get paid for the new part if they don't send the bad one in for analysis.

Ya. Didn't take the Ford house an entire day to swap the sensors. So far it's seems to be running like it did before the sensor failed.

had the same problem. Was leaving for vacation and an hour into my trip computer says pull over safely. Well it died and it turned out to be the egt sensor also. Mine was a 2011 with 24k on it.

stop safely now

My 2011 F-250 did it last night. It has 81,000 miles and never had a problem with it before. Anyway, had it towed to the local Ford garage and they have it right now. Supposed to get back to me later today. I hope it is only that EGT sensor. That sounds like the primary cause of this issue.
