Brought her home

Went to Detroit and picked up the truck Friday. Drove her home 1,300 miles to Texas and enjoyed every second. I let my 16 year old son drive her from Topeka, KS to the house. I cannot count how many times we repeated the same phrases, like “this thing is a beast” or “this bad boy rides smoother that our half ton!” I think this truck will put a smile on my face every time I get in her for years to come.

Shout out to Scott Pratt at Bob Maxey for making it happen! I told Scott I don’t do paper work and I wanted it to go down as painless as possible. He had everything filled out when I arrived, signed a few papers and left. Exactly how I wanted it. Thanks Scott!

Fantastic. Congrats on the new ride. And the best thing is it gets better every time you drive.

Thanks guys.

Took it to manual wash to clean her up after the trip. All bays filled with trucks but one; two Fords, a RAM and a GMC. Both Ford guys came to talk shop while the others put their tails between their legs and split.

Thanks Outlw. Like the 110v plugs for sure. Beats having to find a place for a large inverter in the cab. My favorite thing is the paper clips on the visor. LOL

We sure did, couldn't pass up Chicago deep dish! We went to Giordano's instead though to save time. Truck went into its first regen right before we got off the highway to eat. LOL

Thanks! White is the only color for the Texas heat in my opinion. I think it looks really good with paint matched bumpers. Might have to nickname her Storm Trooper. LOL

Sounds like we need to coordinate!

It was either go get what I want or take a lesser truck. I would normally never go out of my way like that for a truck but it was a good opportunity for the son and I to hang out.
