OWL tires forced option?

I have a 350 on it's way. Looking at my sticker online I see OWL tires as a $250 option. I didn't order them. Are they a forced option with FX4 package or something? Not a fan of OWL and would not have paid $250 for them! Guess I'll have to pay to have $250 face inward. Any ideas why this option is on my order?

You paid for the "all-terrain" portion of the tire that is required for the FX4 package. The black side wall or OWL are the same price.

Plus when you do a build and price, it says with the FX4 you get black sidewall AT tires. No mention of OWL anywhere until now when I see I'm being billed for it. Only with the 20" option does it show OWL.

You are billed separately for the all terrain upgrade and the fx4 package even though it is a forced option. However you don't have to take the owl. I thought it was like 150ish for the a/t tires and 250 for the white wall so in theory you could saved a hundred. Atleast that's the way it was in the 2011s.

Maybe there is only one option for 2012 as I wasn't given the option.

My 2012 is the same way extra cost for a OWL..

No its an option.. I'd have to look at the order guide. Krug Ford put it in here somewhere annd it will have the order codes that will be on your invoice

I order my 2012 F250 Lariat in December with FX4 package and was given the choice of OWL ($250) or blackside ($125) tires. I took the blackside wall.

Thanks CD, that's what I figured. I just called and left both my salesman and the sales manager a voicemail to see how they wanted to address it. Not the end of the world, but I certainly don't want to pay 125 extra for something I really don't like and didn't want. Maybe they have another truck on the lot that they can swap tires and wheels with or maybe they just reverse the white lettered ones on my truck. Either way, I'm satisfied as long as I'm not charged for the swap and I'm not charged for the white letters.

It is an option. I made sure I ordered mine with BWL, didn't want OWL. If my truck shows up with OWL, the dealer will be turning the tires around or I won't take it.

You have to watch the wheel weights so it does not leave marks on the wheel..
