Just ordered a new F350 King Ranch Crew cab SRW. My negotiated price included $4000 in rebates that expire on 4-2-12. I realize that since 6-8 weeks is the average delivery time I will be pushing the envelope on still getting the rebates.
My question is for those of you that have ordered trucks were it arrived after the the rebate expired.
Were the rebates still honored by the dealership?
Does Ford normally extend their rebates after the expiration date?
Do they start new rebates as the old ones expire?
Did the dealership try to work with you if the rebates expired before you took delivery?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Losing $4000 in rebates could be a deal breaker for me.
Some dealers can lock in rebates at the time of order, check with your dealer . Also rebates that are in efect when you take delivery should be honored if the same or better.

Congrats on your order, jsdjr53. Adding to what northman & outlw said: be sure to check with your dealer if they offer the Incentive Protection Program. This will protect the incentives available to you at the time you placed the order. If better incentives become available when your truck arrives, you have the option to take the new incentive amount. All offers are subject to change, so be sure to consult your dealership.
I’m also available to keep track of your order’s latest status. For me to do that, send a PM with your VIN and/or order number & dealer name/dealer code.

Cory once again you come through. I contacted Ford's Marketing Headquarters as you suggested and inquired about the Incentive Protection Program. The extremely helpful customer service representative I talked to told me that the dealership that I was dealing with was a Blue Oval dealership. Which means that they have the ability to offer me the Incentive Protection Program. She also told me about another incentive rebate that I qualified for, that my dealership didn't tell me about.
I went back to the dealership armed with this information. They promptly guaranteed me (in writing) the Incentive Protection Program, honored the rebate that Ford's marketing rep found for me and then my salesperson found another rebate that I qualified for. Those two rebates amounted to $1250 and they guaranteed (in writing of course) both of those rebates.
So all totaled the rebates I am receiving amounts to $5250.
Thanks again Cory for the information. You sure helped reduce my stress level.

You got it, jsdjr53; I want your buying experience to be stress free. Shoot a PM with the order info and I’ll keep tabs on it.
Near the end of 4th qt. of the Super Bowl, Ford had a commercial announcing Ford Truck Month with $5500 in rebates. Strangely, I have not been able to find any reference to it on their website.

I'd love to hear more about this... Watched the 'bowl, missed that, must have been when I was flirting with the cute redhead
I just got off the phone with the Marketing HQ and have the opposite experience. The person I spoke with didn't know anything about the price protection program and told me that if the rebates expired before my truck came in, then I would not get them.
What's up with that???????

When you order, rebates are locked in.
If rebates get higher when you truck comes in, you get the bigger rebate.
If bigger rebates are offered after your truck is ordered and expires before it comes in, you do not get them.
That's what I was told anyway.
Would love to hear about bigger rebates. My truck is so close I can almost smell it. Might be here next week
I got $2500. Did not get the $1000 Ford financing rebate because their interest rate was ridiculous. Looked on Ford's site and it looks like the situation is worse today.

In my area the FMCC rates are 2.9% for 36, 3.9 for 48, 4.9 for 60 plus an additional $1000. That's pretty competitive around here. I'd just like to get the rest straightened out.
