Rather than go to the 10w-30, wouldn't 5w-30 be a closer match to the recommended 5w-20?
In 99 and 2000, Ford recommended 5w-30 in the exact same motors that they now call for 5w-20 in. So I would have to believe that 5w-30 is safe to use..
My bad, I am thinking of the oil I put in my old truck I was thinking 5-30 Mobil 1, I saw it at Walmart. Is the cap. 5 quarts or 5 plus some?

My V10 takes a full 6 quarts of Motorcraft 5w-30.

I am thinking of using Mobil 1 10-30 if it won't be a problem, unless there is an other synthetic oils in 5-20 that are available all over (walmart, ect.)
Thanks,

I'm either going to use the Mobil 1 5w30 at 5000 mile intervals or the Motorcraft 5w20 at 3000 mile intervals. Haven't quite decided yet, but need to soon.
