2006 F250 5.4L Low Fuel Light ?

I took a 2006 F250 5.4L 4x2 XL truck into my local dealership b/c my low fuel light was not working.

They said my truck is not equipped with a low fuel light. I know it worked when I bought the truck.

Does anyone know where I can find the specs on this. The owners manual does not mention one.....

Please help!

Your odometer shoud change to "low fuel" and you'll hear a chime when this happens.

Not to start a bashing war, But why in the world would you allow your tank to get so low that the "Low Fuel" light would come on to begin with.
Just watch the fuel gauge and add fuel accordingly, you know the way it was done in the old days. There is a reason people read gauges and call the warning lights and buzzers "Idiot Lights".
And on a diesel, allowing it to begin to studder, sputter and spit before changing tanks or adding diesel is just plain asking for problems.

mI wanted to know becuase my truck would start to sputter at about an 8th tank. I think thats a bit high to run out of fuel. Just got me guessing if i have one or not.But i just going with mine doesnt have one. Im told by the dealer some do nd dont have them. When is low fuel it up...

Rather than taking it in for the low fuel light, you should take it in and have the tank gauge recalibrated to read properly. You don't say what year of truck, but if it is under warranty it should be covered.
On my 08 F-550 when operating on the 90 gallon aux tank, the factory computer can't read the fuel level correctly due to a non-compliance in the program. So, you low fuel light will come on telling me I have either 50, 25, 10 or 0 miles to go....when in fact I still have over 800 miles to go on the reserve tank alone.
I wish my low fuel light didn't work.....If I can figure out a way to do it.....You can have it....LOL!!
