325 HP V10?

A guy I work with got his truck the same day I got mine, 10/24. Well, yesterday I was talking to him and he said the 2001 V10 had been boosted to 325 HP. I thought they were 310 HP. Anyone else here this 325 HP rumor?

Re: 325 HP V10?

18 years old, V-10? How can you afford it? Financing it? I would rather own a diesel than finance a gasser, no offense...

Yeah, I had the same question! Where does an 18 year old get the money for a $30K+ truck. I don't know ANY 18 year olds that are established enough to afford that. Perhaps "family" money; no offense meant. If you're well off financially, more power to you; I'd rather be rich than have to work myself.

Re: 325 HP V10?

Wow, when I was 18, I had to borrow my friends Opel Cadet, but it beat walking.

UApilot, good for you on your ownership of a fine diesel powered truck. Many who frequent this GAS forum are probably thinking how much they would rather finance a gasser than own a diesel.

Re: 325 HP V10?

Fritzmaster,

I agree wholeheartedly! I'd rather finance a truck that works, than own one I've got to fix all the time!

UAPilot has some very definite opinions regarding age, vehicle ownership and diesel engines. I've been 18 years old too and proud of the old trucks I had but I try not to jam my opinions up other peoples A**h***s.

I've had a 6.9 in a 1985 Crew cab. I loved it until I got a 460. Loved the 460 'til I found the V10.

Re: 325 HP V10?

Actually my father was pushing me to get a diesel but I like the idea of having 10 cylinders and not having a red line at 3 1/2 grand because I dont tow or haul anything. (BTW Family Fortune) The car is in my name so I technically do own it.

Re: 325 HP V10?

How do you know there isn't a 17 yr old out there somewhere with a V-10? Or do you mean on this site? Mommy and daddy buy it for you?

Re: 325 HP V10?

Hey Guys,

This is WAY OFF of the original question so I'm closing this topic. We don't need to beat each other here, we're not the enemy.

Re: 325 HP V10?

UAPilot,

Got my private pilot license also. Anyway im not one of those stuck up kids that you probally see on TV. I don't even have to reply to your response but I feel their is a lot of ignorance in your part and you need to get over it. Funny even though Im 18 I seem to be more civilized than you will ever be so I suggest you can keep your washed up opinions in the ****pit where it belongs okay. BTW: I know for a fact that I work harder than you each and every day running businesses so your barking up the wrong tree dog.
