5.4 miss on acceleration

Greetings

Company just bought a 99 E350 5.4. Around town it seems fine, but at about 55mph+ it stumbles a little as I acclerate. Crusing at 65mph it runs smooth until it needs a little more peddle, like starting up a hill.

I noticed the trans cooler was leaking and that the trans fluid was low(in the cold range while it was up to temp), so my first thought was the trans slipping a bit. But my research here points to coil packs possibly.

Any help with diagnostics would be great as I haven't been under the hood of anything with spark plugs in quite awhile.

TIA

The connections from the coil packs to the plugs get corrosion. For more info ,try f150 online.

Thanks Sancho

I put a 1/2 qt of trans fluid in and tightend up the hoses at the trans cooler that were leaking, then took it back on the highway, no more missing.

Now I'm throughly confused.
