You need to put a description of your truck on here if you're serious about a trade. There are plenty of horse traders on here!

Re: 5.4 Triton

It ain't that simple like the old days.... wiring, computers, bell housings and tranny subtle differences... Probably easier to trade trucks.

Why would you want to do this? You could sell your truck, buy an equivalent gasser and put money in your pocket (probably). By swapping motors it will cost you, even if you sell the diesel motor you probably would be lucky to break even. In fact the more I think about it I don't think you could break even.

Re: 5.4 Triton

I just have to ask...why do you want to swap out your diesel for a gas? Like already mentioned, it would be alot of work. You would need to swap everything from wire harnesses to clusters to computers to fuel system to throttle systems, ect. It would be a major undertaking. I agree that if you want a gas truck, trade yours in for one. It'll be way easier and cheaper. If you are having problems with your diesel, there are plenty of knowledgeable people here to get you on the right track. Either way, good luck.

Re: 5.4 Triton

I agree, easier and cheaper to swap trucks.

I can't imagine any benefit to switching to a gasser, except a quieter engine. Any gains in fuel price would be lost in lower fuel efficiency.
