5.4EFI Fuel milage

Im looking at a 2006 F250 crew 4X4 King Ranch with the 5.4 V8 auto and 3.73Ltd slip. I was doing 50 miles a day to and from work and getting 14 to 17 mpg with my 2004 6.0 psd auto 3.73Ltd slip F350 crew 4X4 Lariet, very happy with the truck. I got a new job thats 1.9 miles from my house and Im sure it will kill the diesel with the short trip. Any body out there have experience with gas V8 in cc 4X4?

Mine gets about 12.5 - 13.0 around town. Heck, if your that close to work, just keep the diesel, save your money and walk to work. The exercise will be good for you.

i think u should stick with it if your happy with it...especially if your getting pretty good mileage and u might find yourself driving 50 miles to work again

Re: 5.4EFI Fuel milage

just gas (or diesel) is usually a lot cheaper than gas and a payment.

My 03 CC F250 gets 10-14mpg depending on conditions.

My .02 keep the 6.0 - get a cheap little car or bike to get to work- I have 3 diesels and to be honest I like the CC BUT the 5.4 just doesn't cut it.

My 99 PSD consistently pulled in 15.5 mpg but I recently traded it for a 03 KR 4x4 with the 5.4 and it gets 14 mpg hwy. not sure about city since I live about 3/4 of a mile from the highway and my office is about 1/2 mile off so 95% of my driving is hwy.
