5W 20 oil

Anyone with a 2001 V-10 having any luck finding the "required" oil for their truck, 5w 20, in any brand other than motorcraft? And does anyone know if it is available in a synthetic or a synthetic blend?

Re: 5W 20 oil

I have checked with my Ford service advisor, and he tells me the Penzoil 5W-30 synthetic I use is superior in lubricity and flow to the Motocrap 5W-20 dino oil.

He says it exceeds Ford requirements and the only reason Ford spec'ed 5w-20 was to squeeze a little more from the gassers to meet CAFE reqs.
