Re: 6" DR lift gas mileage

With a V10 your mileage will go from bad to worse.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I don't have a V10, but I've seen posts in other forums where people who lifted their trucks with the same engine lost around 1 mpg both city and highway mileage. Depending on your driving style and gearing selection, that number can vary a bit.

Re: 6" DR lift gas mileage

I have a 06' V10 with 4:30's and a DR 4.5" lift with 315's (35") and I lost about 1 mpg. I bet you will lose 2 mpg and a lot of power with 37"s and 3:73's.

Re: 6" DR lift gas mileage

I have a fully loaded excursion and 4.88's with a 6 inch lift and 36 in Iroks and get 8-9 mpg.
