OK, damnit. I need headers to get rid of flutter. Is Borla as good as Banks? Any benefit or drawback to either? I'm gonna order 'em as soon as I get you guys to respond. Borla headers with catback are $ 855.00. No K&N. Banks with K & N is 1,515.00. Is Banks worth the extra 650 ?
Thanks, in advance for your help! I need it!
PS. Borla advertises more HP gain.

After talking to many people and reading lots of posts, I decided to go with the Banks Power Pack with the Trans Command module. After having headers on other vehicles, with the gaskets leaking after time, the 5/8 header flanges of the Banks are much thicker than the Borla(3/8).Banks exhaust looks to be very high quality.Ordered the system today, should have it next week. Can't wait to spend an entire Saturday installing it.Paid $1491.00 with the Trans Command.
Crew Cabber, where did you order yours from?
If you got the trans command too, thats a good price! You convinced me. I'll order the banks when I find out where you got them!
Thanks!

I ordered from Fuel Injection in Allentown Pa. The dealership I work at is close enough that they will deliver to me for free.I dealt with Rick Blewitt.Very knowledgable and helpful.I did get the Trans Command, price without is $1276.00. I did not get the Otto Mind, Rick told me that Banks does not indicate any HP gains from it,only better 0-60 times.Since I am towing 11k plus fiver,I am not concerned with 0-60.The phone # is 800-395-3718,website- www.fuelinjection.net
Thanks for the info! I'm going to order mine
in a week or two. Banks is 50 miles from my house but they don't make deals! They want $ 1,515.00 for the powerpack alone, without the trans command! They must be trying to encourage and protect dealers. I hope its not too tough to install. Any hints?

knocker, contact Joey greenwood at Banks (jgreenwood@bankspower.com) and tell him you were referred by a couple guys on the Ford-Diesel page and ask for his best deal.
I was dealing on a system with another salesman at Banks, until Kevin 350 published the price he paid through Joey. Joey quoted me about 250 dollars less on the Powerpack with Ottomind and Transcommand.
I haven't purchased the system yet because they don't have the Ottomind chip for my PCM code yet, but will when it's available!

KNOCKER: I did the install on my 30ft. Fleetwood flair motorhome. It was a pain and I would imagine that a motorhome install would be easier than a superduty because theres more room in the wheelwells to install the headers. There is a mountain pass here in Washington at I-90, dont know the grade. Went up the pass before the Banks install top speed with overdrive off 45mph. Same route after banks install overdrive off, top speed 67mph. The diesel pushers cannot keep up. This setup is amazing. No chip only air intake, headers, exhaust, and transcommand, all Banks.

I'm excited now guys! I'm not looking forward to the busted knuckles but it sounds like the finished product will be awsome.
Thanks all of you for the info!

My Powerpack arrived today, had two of my techs in the shop install it.Not nearly as bad as I thought, took them about four hours to do headers,y-pipe, and muffler/tailpipe.Also ram air.I will do Trans Command next week.Drive home was great, off the line power is awesome, not too loud, could be a little louder for my tastes, but probably better this way for getting into campgrounds late at night.Quality is top notch, instructions very good. Can't wait to see how it pulls 11k fiver. Two thumbs up!
