what mpg can you expect from these 460 efi/ 5 spd. trucks?
can the mpg be improved?
what needs to be done to improve it, if at all?

Depends on what you're doing but I'd say 12-13 empty
8-10 towing.

My 97 250 Xcab 4x4 automatic gets 12 highway if I drive it like an old lady

my son's 97 with a 5speed, 285/75's gets about 10.5 mixed, will get 12-13 hiway, this is driving conservatively.

Put your foot in it, 10.5 goes to 8 in a hurry.

Towing 2500lbs - on hiway, about 9.

But - It will run - and I've suprised more than 1 tuner driver off the line...
