99 vs 01 V10s?

What were the differences between the 99 V10s and the 01 V10s? Kind of like the wifey's V10 so much that I am thinking about a V10 99 pickup. Were there any horsepower differences? What was the standard rear axle ratio in 99-3.73? What does the fuel tank hold on the crew cab shortbox and crew cab long box?
Thanks
Kelly

3.73 but you could get the 4.10 OR 4.30 at different points in the model year

Re: 99 vs 01 V10s?

Thanks for the info. Any ideas what they did to get the extra 35 hp? Did it just happen in the 01 year or was part of the hp increase in 00?

Re: 99 vs 01 V10s?

The 2000 V-10 was the first year of the 310 hp engine. IIRC, the heads, cams and electronics were different than the '99.
