ACCUFAB Throttle body

This is not for the weak hearted. I have been installing several goodies since I've been home. First was a MAS from Granatelli and a K&N FIPK. They were working pretty good together. I have some limited MPG results of 12.2-12.5 mixed city/hwy using the AC. Now the new TB. I first will say the product is top shelf and is really a work of art. VERY nice billet and very well built. The install was a snap and
on in less the an hour. The TPS will be the hardest part to get off the old and on the new. Care should be given not to strip the phillips head screw. The test drive was a "normal" drive to the gas station. Not using excessive throttle or habits. With a full tank I rolled home to see what it would do. I was already moving when I stomped the gas. Well it down shifted and the RPMs went to 4700+ before shifting to second. I came off the gas as I hit 70 and figured the shift was too late and I needed to do this from a stop. I u-turned and stopped. The road was clear and I put it to the floor. I must say the truck took off and once again didn't shift till 4700+RPMs. I had to slow down since I was running out of road. I will continue to test this and see what if any adjustments are needed.
I got what I paid for, and I love the new found power.

Re: ACCUFAB Throttle body

I picked up the MAS for $185 and the K&N kit for $192 both off EBAY. The throttle body, made by ACCUFAB, is from Proficient Performance for $385. I chose three day shipping so the cost was higher.

Re: ACCUFAB Throttle body

Ok, I can't find that Accufab makes a Throttle body for any truck besides the Lightning. Good deal on the MAS by the way...!

Re: ACCUFAB Throttle body

Yep...unhooked the battery and it ran for 10 mins at idle. I'm running 93 using the PPIII. I just kicked over 68k and it is running just like new.

I have researched the TB thing for a while now, the 96-98 COBRA 4v application is what I used. If you research any TB application for the V10 you will find they (Cobras' and V10s) share the same part number. I just like the idea of a single blade VS the two port 65mm set-up. The flow rate is nearly the same as is the cost for either set-up.

I just wanted to test the other so we could have options.
