I'm lookiing to replace the intake setup on my 93 F150/300-6. I don't want to go the K&N route. I drive a lot of dirt roads. Is there a company out there that makes a setup with a replaceable type air filter?

You might want to visit f150online.com and ford-trucks.com, find the right forum sections on your vintage truck and see what they say.

I think you'll find a few people over there, who know what's available for the old 300 six. I had a 93 and don't remember what the factory set up was. Personally, I don't think you'll find the gains, if any, are worth the money needed.

You could always go with a K&N style filter, but also install a prefilter sleeve. The over all performance benifits most likely would be very small if any. Only advantage is not having to purchase new filters only needing to clean and reoil.

While I'm not much of a fan of K&N for diesels, I installed a K&N dropin in my new 2008 V-10 and immediately gained 1 mpg. Actual experience and it cost me $35.
