Re: Banks Powerpack

CrewCabber,

I have the PowerPack on my 2000 V-10 and I think it's great. I had to wait for the 2000 kit (99's & 00's are different). Not sure if the 2001's will use the same kit as the 00's.

Even after I got the 00 kit it wasn't a 00 kit it was a 99 and I had toi wait for replacement parts.

Also Banks does a lousy job of packaging. It took three tail (monster) pipes before I got one that wasn't damaged.

Remember a V-10 dosn't sound like a V-8, so don't but it for the tune/tone. The performance (combined with a SuperChip) is nice as well as the increase in MPG's

Check out my notes on my PowerPack install (and here my finished product) at: http://ic.net/~wawii/banks/

Also check out the MPG file in my Signature.

Re: Banks Powerpack

I just finished installing the Banks Powerpack on my 2000 Fleetwood Flair class A motorhome. What a difference in power!! I installed the kit with no problems, changed the tranny fluids to mobile 1 syn., and installed a trans temp gauge. Also installed a banks transcommand. I went with banks because I was impressed with the stinger plus kit on my superduty diesel. Banks does not compromise longevity for performance.

Re: Banks Powerpack

Hey Will, good to see ya.

Did you ever get a chance to dyno your truck with the Superchip and Banks? I'd like to see those numbers.

Re: Banks Powerpack

V10 Man,

Sorry, not yet. I went to Norwalk this past weekend when the rest of the club was at the dyno.

I still need to call Paul and get it done soon though.

Re: Banks Powerpack

Hi again crewcabber. I just installed a stinger kit on my V10 Tuesday. Haven't had it out of garage yet, but will pull my trailer about 75 miles friday. I hope to see some difference. It sure looks good with that monster tailpipe. Sounded real good without ANY muffler, but little noisy under throttle. Pretty quiet with this new muffler. Hope to get a little more sound than stock. Will see tomorrow.
