Gas forum has gone dead, so even if this is a repeat, at least we're getting some traffic.
I cut a hole in the fiberglass support directly in front of the air filter housing. Functionally creating a cold-ram-air induction. No real seat-of-the-pants power gain and no mileage increase. Just better throttle response.
I know someone has to have done this before. So what are the caveats of this action? Obviosly, moisture is one. But, from past experience, I find this fear to be somewhat over-exaggerated. Any others?
