Any gassers running an oil bypass filter? Results? Problems? I may have the opportunity to add a double bypass to my rig fairly cheaply, and based on what I've read and been told, I don't see any negatives in doing this. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have been running Amsoil with a By-Pass Filter Sytem since about 3000 miles. Wanted to break engine in a bit before I started using synthetic.Changed first oil at 500 miles.
Pull a 5th wheel about 10,000 miles a year and don't like changing oil a lot. I use Amsoils Triguard Protection Plan and do oil analysis. I have never been directed to change my oil, but I did once at about 15,000 miles.
I am very happy with the system and my friend and highly trusted mechanic said he has never seen such high quality oil. I run synthetic in my trans, engine, rear end, Gear Vendors, and even use synthetic greese. No problems at 36,000 miles and truck performs great.

If you are planning to keep the truck a long time (over 200,000 miles) and if you want to go with longer oil change intervals its worth it in my opinion. If the answer to EITHER of those question is no then, again in my opinion, no its not worth it.
Some people run sythetic oil, a bypass filter and trade in every couple of years. It makes them happy but is not cost effective.

Overload and others, I would answer yes to both. Where would you suggest I get started on my search for a bypass filtration system for my V10?
Although, it will give me longer drain intervals that is not my REAL intent. I just want it to last a real long time plus I'd feel better with a bit more oil capacity, as well as, better filtration.
Not sure I understand the question. If you want to look at different options for what filter to purchase, do a search on the upgrades and aftermarket. Hopefully you can sort through the crap and use the 10% that is good info to make the right choice.
I personally went with the balwin setup detailed is a post by Flaps and Mats. It is the least expensive option, but is it the best, I haven't a clue.
If you are asking how to install one one a V10, I don't know.
Good luck
