Finally ordered a F350 V10 KR CC 6.5. After many months of debate watching this excellent site and a few others to see how the new 6.4 would hold up, I decided on the V10. Maybe in 5 years I'll replace my 2000 with a used 6.4, by that time the warranties will be expired and I can pick one up cheap and remove all the EPA crap and make the engine what it was really intended to be, A MONSTER!

That's right Pappy. After owning International's POS diesel for a year I'm finally back in the V-10. I like it! I ordered the new truck with the manual trans. Had a helluva time trying to drive this thing the first time, couldn't hear the motor.
Now I have to change name and sig.

Hey Buck, does yours ever make a funny noise like from the drivers side footwell under partial throttle that almost sounds like an exhaust leak? You have to have the windows up and radio and AC off to hear it. Goes away after 4k, and doesn't always do it. I am asking you since you also have the V10 and a stick.
Wickedsprint, no I haven't noticed anything like that, and believe me I would notice anything unusual with this quiet truck. Only have 200 miles on though.

Three weeks and no VIN. The good news; the order was accepted. Apparently the V10's are in demand, go figure, in time for the holiday shutdown at KTP. Looks like February...

By yhe way the V-10 is a 6.8 not a 6.5. You should get the DORA from your dealer within 1-2 weeks at the most. Once you get the DORA, then the vin will follow.

Now that you have a vin number you can use this site to post it and they will show you the progress it is making. Beware, cause going to this site while your truck is being built is VERY addictive.

Pappy...Been seriously considering posting my VIN on the BLUE OVAL to get an update. I really don't want the VIN cached in Google's servers for the next 100 years...Hoping the dealer will have something after Christmas.

Why should you care about the vin on Google as once it is in the system, the whole world can find it. Just ask any vehicle registration person or any cop. The fun thing on blueoval is to see how far along your truck is getting and also they will email you a copy of the sticker. Want to see mine? Just pm me and I'll ship it to you.
