A issue with alot of people is how their V10 doesn't sound good at all when installing aftermarket exhaust systems whereas a V8 always sounds really good.
Went down to my muffler man getting brake work and ball joints replaced and i asked about improving exhaust note since my flowmaster catback exhaust system is already rusted out, how cheaply made.... so we put thickwall 3" pipe from catalytic converter to a Flowmaster 40 series muffler into a 4" tailpipe out to a 5" SS exhaust tip. It now has some low end grunt, nice mellow tone and feels like the exhaust is flowing alot easier.
WIsh i would of done it 3 years ago instead of spending 200 on that catback system that was no better than stock.

How loud is it at WOT? My setup has a good rumble at idle and low rpm (probably not as good as yours with the 4" pipe) but seems to get rather loud at WOT. On my next truck (providing i don't go over to the dark side...PS not Dura!!) I was thinking about going with the 70 series. I bet it would sound good with the 4" pipe and tip.
Honestly, I haven't had it wide open. I don't often open the V10's throttle all the open either, sort of weird i guess. I will try listening to it while someone else drives my truck and have them open her up. So far, all i've done is drive around with the windows down and it sounds great from zero to about 70% throttle. I just really like my exhaust sounding like a truck now and not a high revving 4 cylinder.

I think the 70' series is about the same sound,(no sound) as stock. I have a stainless 50' series on mine (see my sig.) and wish I would have got a 40' series.

Yes I reused the stock tailpipe because it had the factory stainless tip on it, that comes with the "chrome package". It took some cutting and piecing to hook it on to the muffler because the stainless 50' only comes with one offset, which isn't what you need to make it simple.
