Just did the first fillup on my new V10 and got 13.25 mpg. Mostly driving in town and 2 trips to Las Vegas which takes a climb over a pass in 3rd gear. Hopefully it will get 15 mpg when broke in as I only have 300 miles on it.

You're doing better than me. I've had mine for a week and two days and I've filled up three times. Most of my driving has been short trips in the city, but I've only been getting about 10.9 mpg at the most. I've got a few trips coming up so I'll see how it does on the highway.

You might just make it to 15. One of my brothers has a Y2K 250 4X2 otherwise like yours. He got 14.5 coming home from Maine this past summer with 5 people on board, a bunch of stuff in the bed, and towing a light trailer.

I had a 99 F250 V10 that got 12 mpg, and my 2000 F350 V10 gets 12 mpg. This number only drops by 1 mpg if a hammer it a lot. I guess I am destined for 12 mpg...

Oh yeah if you have the time can you take a ruler from the top of the tire tread to the bottom fo the wheel well fender. Just curiou of the hight.
