Flashing check engine light... then goes off and runs good ?!

On my way to dispatch yesterday my '06 E250 started flashing the CEL and the van began to run horribily and even started to vibrate. I was on the highway doing about 68 with the cc set when this happened.

My low fuel was on at the time (if that matters). Also, I recently had a sat radio installed (if that could matter). Also, it was raining (I doubt that could matter, but....).

Anyways, this situation went on for like 2 or 3 miles at the most, then all was good again and back to normal. The light went off and the van ran smoothly again.

I ran my route of appx 150 miles without issue yesterday, and also today. It is now running flawlessly again like nothing ever happened.

I have the 4.6 gasline V8.

My van only has +/- 4,400 miles on it. It is like brand new. I bought it appx a month ago with 3,100 on it.

Any suggestions to the cause? Should I be concerned? Like alot of you, my van is my paycheck and I need to know i'm good to go.

thanks in advance,
Mike

probably a restricted or plugged injecter. Disconnect the battery to stop the light. If it happens again you need a scanner.

The check engine light flashes to let you know something, in this case it sounds like a misfire, is going on that will damage the cat converter.
I recommend getting it to the dealer so they can pull the codes and see what's going on. These engine are bad for getting moisture around the coils and causing misfires and corrosion of the coils.
