Flex-A-Lite Fan 290 coming to the house!!!!

Well I found an offer I couldn't refuse. They even had free shipping. I picked up the fan for $340 and should get here tomorrow.

I know Flex doesn't have an application for the SuperDuty. I have seen a guy mount one on his and the sides overhang about 1.5" on either side. He altered the mounting brackets and got it to fit pretty good.
I have run across a water pump at also reduces drag. That runs about $100 and will be added later.

Maybe I can reach 300+ at the wheels after this..

I am assuming this is the one with the dual 15" fans? I am thinking about doing this mod myself. Let me know how it goes and post some pics.

I sure will post some pics. I know there will be some modification to be done. I'm off for the next few weeks and inbetween hunting this is a hot job for me.

There is a guy that has them on his site if you want to see his install. Cooling fan install He used the Flex 270. I'm not sure if there will be a big difference in fan kits.

Re: Flex-A-Lite Fan 290 coming to the house!!!!

3300-5500 Airflow-Cu. Ft./Min. at 0º Static Pressure.

The Variable Speed Control has new features.
When you set the on Temperature, the fans will come on at 60%; this reduces the load on your charging system. If
the temperature rises, the fan speed will increase. If your set temperature is 185 degrees Fahrenheit, then between
185 and 195 the fan speed will increase from 60% to 100%. So after a 10-degree rise from the set point, the
fans will be running at 100%.

This new feature is why there is a range for the airflow.
