Hey Bill. It has been a while. The latest on the truck is 387 rear wheel power with the cooler and about 10 psi. Dude, this thing rips. Gonna get to the track here pretty soon.

Did you have the JBA's with the EGR and flutter or did you replace the stock manifolds with the EGR-less JBA's and it went away? Could it have been the manifolds? Just wondering.

Ran out and popped the hood, (have looked many times before but what the heck), after reading Ricky's post. No EGR on my truck. At least not that I can seem to find.
Must be part of the California emissions package.
Truck goes in Monday for another fix attempt. They want to try the 2001 catalytic converter. Also having the up-up-dated tip isolators put in.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I recently installed the JBA headers w/o EGR in place of those with.......My flutter is completely gone. I'm talking completely gone. Most of you know that I was one of the first to report the Flutter and then follow up w/ a TSB from FORD. I know that everyone is looking to their Y-pipes for an answer (as was I) but I believe it is in the EGR. That's the tube that hooks up to the Driver side exhaust manifold. You guys may want to check into it. I am so jazzed. Now just need to figure out what to do about my EGR. He He.

Ok here's the deal. I replaced the stock manifolds w/ EGR-less JBA's and the flutter is completely gone. I have recently gotten a set of EGR equipped JBA's and will be installing them this weekend 4/7/01. This will be the final step of my research if the flutter does not come back...or even if it does. The first set of JBA's that i had installed a while back were non-production protos. If your truck does have the EGR package you'll find it attached to the 2nd port back on the driver side manifold. It attaches with a -12 style AN fitting.
I'm not trying to be mean to those that are still trying to solve or locate the source of their flutter but man I'm telling you......once you get rid of it, you'll love your truck just that much more as it will finally be that smooth revving/sounding V10 you heard about before you bought it. Unbelievable.....
