Does your truck do this like my new cc? When I was driving on the level the gas gauge was just under full, I went up a pass not too steep and didn't notice anything but when I went down the other side the gauge went down to 3/4. Driving around town it was on 1/2 and when I drove back up the pass later the gauge went up to 3/4! Is this normal? How can it be fixed?

Something similar happens to me...my driveway goes uphill, and if I park with the truck facing uphill, in the morning when I start the truck, my gas gauge will say 1/2 and then on my way to work it goes down by 1/8. If I park the truck facing downhill, it will say 1/2, and then on the way to work it will gain 1/8.
The same thing happened on my '99 F-250 V10, and I just ignored it...

Unfortunately, what you describe is "normal". My guess is that the fluctuation is the result of a long-skinny fuel tank. Fuel runs to one end or the other causing the guage to over-react.
same here...same driveway...
takes forever to return to the actual reading...causes problems when getting close to fill-up time. "I can make it, the needle's above the E"...2 miles later, "Holy Cr*p!, it's below E now!" [frantically scanning the corners for any sign of a gas pump]
