Gassers don't qualify for the photos page

I didn't realize us gassers are so unworthy, (well, actually I did). We can't submit photos to be posted to the pictures page (didn't know that). Now I know we are the bottom of the Super Duty barrel.. I swear they look mostly the same from a picture standpoint.. OK, different badging. I know this is a great diesel website and all, but...

Re: Gassers don't qualify for the photos page

Uh oh, I've done it now..

Since you quoted my whole post, and asked if I was joking, i'll break it down since I'm not sure exactly what you mean, maybe I was also unclear.

This is a great diesel website, I practically don't surf anywhere else when kicking back... Best info regardless of fuel. (My brother drives a diesel Super Duty, I tip him off since he reads the board less frequently).
This is a great website for info about all Super Duties, including my gasser.
I don't see the big difference regarding truck pictures on a bulletin board full of pictures, whether they be gas or diesel. The most striking difference in looking at a picture of a Super Duty to tell gas/diesel is the badge, IMHO. Obviously there is a fat tailpipe..

Clarify, please, I didn't mean to poke fun at anyone or anything (except us gassers.. )

Rob

I edited my original to try and clarify.

I knew we weren't "real" Super Duties, but didn't know we weren't allowed a picture on the BB untill I went to submit one today. Not trying to stir anything up! Just pointing out a fact I didn't know to the other gasser forum readers (if anyone was interested). (if this had been a beef with the site {obviously unfounded}, it would be in the news, comments, suggestions forum. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Re: Gassers don't qualify for the photos page

I think the fact that diesels are special is why??????
The public in general mostly owns gas burners in the USA. Who wants to see or hear about a spark ignition truck......unless it is real radical.

Re: Gassers don't qualify for the photos page

come on.... you have to be smoking some really good crack!!!!! pass some this way.....

yes, this site caters to deisels... but MOST everything ppl talk about on the forums are not engine related (upgrades/aftermarket and general questions, the two forums that get the most postings in my estimation)... i ask question after question and have given my opinion more than once in those forums and no one cares.... if i have a engine specific question, i post it in this forum..... basically, follow the rules and no one cares what you drive!

on to the question at hand..... who told you you couldn't post a pic????? i have three (the max allowed) in the pictures area..... there were no questions about engine type anyhow..... they ask you for year, model, and name.... nothing else!

try again would be my advice. ppl here only want to help you.... even if they poke fun about your cleaner burning vehicle

Re: Gassers don't qualify for the photos page

Thanx abendx, I wasn't sure how to take that reply regarding nobody wanting to see pics. I like to see pics of diesels and gassers alike. I would not expect a dieseler to appreciate a gasser pic, but other gassers can.

quote:
snip > on to the question at hand..... who told you you couldn't post a pic????? i have three (the max allowed) in the pictures area..... there were no questions about engine type anyhow..... they ask you for year, model, and name.... nothing else! > snip

Actually, I didn't even try to post, my ego was already broken I saw the below quote on the pictures page. It is a diesel site, I never argued that fact, and I really have no issues, you can always have your sig link.

quote:
We post up to 3 pictures of your Diesel powered truck. More pictures may be submitted. However, the selection of which pictures are used is left up to the Photo Editor.

I just read and follow Jason's rules. Maybe it's just outdated and hasn't been revised since the gas forum was added.

I Didn't belive it when you said that you couldn't post your gasser pictures. I'd hoped that all members were allowed to post them. Try to post em again. Best Wishes, Jim

Re: Gassers don't qualify for the photos page

ah... i see! rob, just go and post your pics. they will put them up! the whole site is a deisel site, so yes, it will say the word "deisel" everywhere you turn..... but that is ok.... let those smelly oil burning guys have their fun!

and i am more than sure that our deisel brethren love to look at our clean burning trucks as much as we like to look at their gross polluters

btw, your truck looks great and will be a nice addition to the pics section!

Re: Gassers don't qualify for the photos page

If those diesel guys weren't so insecure about those over priced, over weight, over hyped, over rated diesel engines, maybe they wouldn't feel so threatened by the gassers, and treat us like regular humans. I guess maybe that's why they buy the diesel in the first place, trying to over come their inadequacies by having a tough sounding truck.

As far as I know, a truck is a truck. Submit them to Dick and he will post them.

Pretty much he makes sure that no is naked in the picture and that it is a 1/2 way decent shot.

SP

*Erk*

I suddenly remember that some members order 3XL shirts. Picture that naked
