i got an 00 and an 05 they are at difrent rpms at the same speed did the 00's come with lower gears?
i looked on the door tags and i think the 05 has 383's but could not find the code on the door of the 00?

It is has been awhile but has Ford removed the tag on the rear hosing cover? Take a look down there at the cover, Ford "was" good at putting the gear number in real (no code) numbers on that tag.
EDIT... Now that I think of it, that was limit slip rears (i think), worth a look in any case.

yea i ment 373 not 83. the 00 is about 400 rpm higher than the 05?

are there difrences in the final ratio in the trannys then? the 00 runs 400 rpms higher than the 05 at the same speed?

My excursion came with 4.30 limited slip from the factory (said it right on the diff tag), I believe standard they came with 3.73 and the optional gear was 4.30.
