16? No way. Maybe 12. I get about 10.5 mpg on the highway with my v10. The problem is that the v8 is a bit under powered for the truck, so it has to run harder to do the same as the v10's, so really your gas savings are about nil. I had one prior to my current v10.

My 06 250 with a 5.4 gets betwee 10 and 11 city, but I drive pretty hard. I did see 15 highway the one time it was unloaded, and gets 9.5 to 10 highway with the camper in the bed and 2000 pounds of boat in tow. a drop in K&N filter did absolutely nothing for mileage. Bigger tires without regearing will kill the mileage. I have the 3.73 LS gears
