Hesitation problem.

Driving out of the driveway yesterday and my motor did not want to go when I pressed the accelator. Motor acted like it wasn't getting fuel and just bogged down with no power. All of this happened for about five seconds and then it acted like nothing was wrong. Only 2000 miles on it so far, but this was the first time it happened. Wife has a '99 Expedition with the small V8 and hers did this also a few times but has not done it lately. Anybody have any ideas before I go to the dealer.

Re: Hesitation problem.

did you both fill up at the same gas station? possibly bad gas? maybe theres water in the gas? just a suggestion, not saying this is the problem. what octane do you run? i run 92 non-oxy. engine runs great and i get about 1-1.5 better mpg.-

Re: Hesitation problem.

I had the same problem, only mine almost got me rear ended. It took the guys at the shop 2 days to discover it was my fuel oump acting up. I ended up getting a new pump, regulator, mas air flow sensor, and a few small things. Look into it. Dotn let them tell you it was your fuel. they just dotn was to work on it.
