Hey Abendx, question on your exhaust

Hey Man,

So you went up to 11", eh? Difference is night and day. She looks great. Anyway, I have a force II (70 series) exhaust system on my 5.4 superduty with single side outlet (clamped). Anyway, I am wanting to weld it on since I like it, and the clamps tend to move around. While I am doing that, I am thinking of having the shop go duals out the back. My question is, is this a smart thing to do? What size pipe should i have exiting the muffler and will I lose any low end (cant afford that).

It is a shame this site wont allow gasoline trucks to post pix. People say it is a diesel website true, a desiel website that has a gas engine category which gets a lot of hits. Anyway, here is a link to some of my latest truck pix, I am the black cc 4 trucks down:

Re: Hey Abendx, question on your exhaust

I just got back from a local Meineke shop. He wanted $300 for just the dual pipes from muffler back. Does that sound high?

Re: Hey Abendx, question on your exhaust

sayer....

thanks! i wish i could go bigger... but it isn't in my bank account yet... one of these days!

there is a pretty good explaination of exhausts and what not in the <a target="_blank" href=http://forums.ford-diesel.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&amp;Board=UBB20&amp;Number=68997 9&amp;page=0&amp;view=collapsed&amp;sb=5&amp;o=7&a mp;fpart=>thread started by f-250hoss</a>. i think you'll find all your info there.....

do remember if you go duals, you sound will change... as probably your power band..... i am unsure if this will give u more in the low or high rpm band... but you will prob lose on one side or the other.
