high mileage V10 ?

Does anybody have a V10 with high mileage on it? If you do, what problem have you had? Im just curious about the long term with a rather new engine design.

Re: high mileage V10 ?

I already have 45,000 miles on my 2000 V10 with no problems of any kind.

Re: high mileage V10 ?

Thanks for the reply. I have 39k on my 97 E350 and I love it. Best motor I've ever had. It gets better MPG than my 95 F250 with the 5.8 ever got.

Re: high mileage V10 ?

Not quite high mileage yet, but I have 30,400
on it. Just a bit of rattle when cold-driving (winter-cold) around 2500 rpm, not at start up or idle. No other problems...no leaks, nothing. I think there was a member who goes by Phieler who had over 100K on his.

Re: high mileage V10 ?

Mines got 17,600. Just got a call today that my new motor is in the crate waiting for me
at the dealer. I also got my first scratch in the tailgate today. I don't think I'll sleep tonight. Or tomorrow night.

Re: high mileage V10 ?

I read somewhere on one of these sites a couple of guys with over 100k with no problems. If I can recall, I'll post the site/forum.
