On my 05 in sig since new at a cold start idles up to around 1200 rpm and takes 20 seconds give or take to come down. Is this normal? even if outside temp is 90+ it will do it. Even after driving to operating temp if shut down for 30 minutes it will do it again. Anyone else with a 5.4 or v10 do this?

The 4.6 in My Wife's '03 Mountaineer does this, plus My new '06 Volvo car. Volvo says they do it to heat up the Cat's quicker to reduce emmissions. Sure seems like a terrible thing to do to a new cold tight engine. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]
