how to stop seatbelt from beeping

I just got a 2003 f250 and if you don't put your seatbelt on it beeps all the time. I wear it most of the time but sometimes I don't when I'm in and out of the truck and it keeps on beeping. I was wondering if any one knows how to stop it and keep it from happening

It's in your owner's manual. The procedure is too long to type in here.

Re: how to stop seatbelt from beeping

On my 2002 I just press and release the seatbelt 'release' button and it stops the beeping until you turn off the truck, which resets the alarm.

Yea thats what I was having to do too, the steps in the owner's manual didn't work for me. I tried then like ten times... One more thing to look into when I get back to the states.

Re: how to stop seatbelt from beeping

The one step that change though the years was this one.

[ QUOTE ]
2. Turn key to ON but do not start. Wait for the seat belt light to go off.

(NOTE: This could take 30+ seconds before the light goes off. Be patient.)

[/ QUOTE ]

This should be ADDED...

2.5 - AFTER the light does go off(only like 6 seconds for me), Wait Another 60 SECONDS before going to the next step!!!!

I belive they changed this step somewhere between the 2000 and 2001 model year.
