Injector replacement

I've got what I believe is a stuck open injector. Pressure in the rail drops to zero quickly when you stop the engine. One plug is fuel fouled about every 6000 miles. Unplugging that cylinder's injector does not cause a miss when a clean plug is installed. All other cylinders produce a miss when injector is unplugged.

What other test should I perform?

If I replace that injector how do you inspect, clean, test the rest?

Re: Injector replacement

I think you are looking for info on a PSD. The gas engine forum probably won't be a great deal of help.

Re: Injector replacement

I think your signature is a little confusing.

I'm assuming you have at least tried some injector cleaner...

You can try swapping injectors with another cylinder to see if the "problem" follows the injector. If you swap, be sure to use one from the other bank. If you isolate the injector as the source of your woes, just buy a new one.
