K & N Install tips...

I just recieved the K & N replacement filter for my V10. Any recommendations as to whether to reset the computer? Seems to me, that I would want to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes or so and allow the computer to reset itself, thus allowing it to recieve and learn the new information over the next 100 or so miles. Does this theory still hold true?
The Ford literature reads as if the computer is always learning and adjusting for driving conditions and ambient changes.
And by the way, what about the Tranny portion of the computer, it also reads and adjusts this information while under different towing conditions? How is this?
Thank you, James

Re: K & N Install tips...

The 'fuzzy logic' A.I. of the Ford computer adjusts on-the-fly and should not require a reset for a filter change.

Re: K & N Install tips...

I don't think a reset is "required", but I do one every so often anyway. Never hurts to flush the dynamic data out of memory & start over.
