Kinda slow here...

Need some V10 input...

Any V10 owners out there with any cool V10 stories?

Hello?

Buhler? Buhler?

Loaded mine up with a full cord of firewood last week. The truck did not know all that weight was there. I did, however...that can be a bear...loading and unloading that much wood without a proper breakfast.

I was sore for 2 days. I did not think I was THAT out of shape...

And to think, I am going skiing in two weeks.

Dan

Re: Kinda slow here...

Well, theres a hill on I17 leaving the Verde Valley towards Phoenix. It's either 6% or 7% grade for 6 miles or so. Comming back from deer hunting this year with 6500 pound trailer and gear in tow, I hit the bottom of the grade at 70mph+ and kept my foot in it. To my surprise the truck just kept on going. It did shift down to 3rd, around 3300 rpms. I got in the passing lane and blew by everyone! I was totally amazed. I think it performed so well because I had momentum from the start. If any of the slower cars had pulled out in front of me and slowed me down then it would have been over. The power of the V10 is awsome!

Re: Kinda slow here...

abendx: Could have done w/o that...

I was with the family and decided to pick up some dirt. Weighed in at 7200# and left the scales at 12500#. You could hardly tell the truck was loaded with dirt. Pulled right out, cornered fine, never a problem. I love this truck!!

The only thing I have found that I don't like is the speed control with my manual transmission. When it starts to lug up a hill, watch out!! On its own the RPM's shoot through the roof. I have learned to diable the cruise control on hills - it's just too touchy for me.
