life mileage

I would like to hear some numbers on high milage motors

89 f150 inline 6 engine, 265,000miles, no leaks... just tuned it up and it runs like new.
mind you this is the stump pulling/farm truck, been abused. Can't seem to kill a 300 6

I second that about the 300-6, they are near indestructible I think. My wife had one in a '92 F-150 with well over 300K, and she once went 50,000 without changing the oil!! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif[/img]. Before I met her, of course. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

My '92 F-150 had 233,000 on it's 302 V8. A very solid truck to the end. Didn't burn oil, but was starting to have trouble with the rear seal when I traded her in on my '00 F-250.
