Mis-fire Code p0308
My work van 5.4l started acting like it was missing 1 cylinder. The usual stumbling, surging(locked in OD), vibration at high rpm under load(passing)less power. No MIL light yet, but i was able to pull code P0308, Cylinder # 8 misfire deteced. No other codes. Reset it 2 drive cycles and mis later, back on. The funny thing is, today as i pulled into the exit lane , the problem cleared up and stayed that way. My question is, what cylinder is #8? So i can inspect it and try to find this hiccup. Standing from the front of the truck looking at the engine which side is it on (L or R)and how far back is it (1,2,3,or4).
